BypassGPT Review Summary
If you're in a rush, here's a quick 2-minute summary of this blog:
3 Things BypassGPT Does Well
- Human-like Text: The "humanized" text that it produces actually sounds human, more often than not.
- Customizable Output: It provides 3 modes - Fast, Creative, and Enhanced, and each one gives you a slightly different flavor of humanization. But each mode has its quirks, more on that below.
- Easy to Use: It was very intuitive to use BypassGPT, the interface is simple and there are simply 2 buttons - Detect AI or Humanize. 9/10 for simplicity!
- More on the shiny side of BypassGPT below.
5 Big Mistakes BypassGPT Makes
- Still fails AI Detectors: The humanized content still sometimes fails AI Detectors. For instance, I humanized 12 AI-generated texts, and 4/12 still got flagged by AIDetectPlus.
- Atrocious Customer Service: The support is often unresponsive, and takes days to reply. When they do respond, it's not helpful, the same-old template replies.
- Errors in Humanized Text: It often changes the meaning of the text. There are also broken sentences and illogical punctuation. This is frustrating because you still need to edit the output, defeats the purpose of the tool.
- Refund & Cancellation Issues: Getting a refund from BypassGPT is a nightmare for many users. They enforce strict conditions like limiting refunds to within 30 minutes and 1000 words. Similar issues with cancellation too.
- Credits Expire Every Month: Your unused credits don't carry over to the next month, they go away. So you keep paying for the same credits every month.
- Details on the dark side of BypassGPT below.
What Does BypassGPT Cost?
- Basic Plan - For $12/month, you get 5,000 words. It can humanize only 500 words per input and only gives you access to Fast Mode. Also, they claim the content to be plagiarism-free. But you’ve got three days to get your money back if you’re not happy.
- Pro Plan - This one costs $19/month and gives you 30,000 words. You can humanize up to 1,000 words per input. It’s got all the modes – fast, creative, and enhanced. You again get a 3-day money-back guarantee.
- Unlimited Plan - For $49/month, you can go wild with unlimited words and inputs. All the same modes, features, and money-back guarantees as the Pro plan.
- So should you buy BypassGPT? Well, there are some issues, the biggest one is your credits expire each month if you don't use them up. More details about its cost below.
Well, that was the review in 2 minutes. But if you have 3 more minutes to spare, we'll dive deeper into BypassGPT - what it does well and where it falls short.
BypassGPT Review - What Does it Get Right?
Here are 3 things everyone likes about it (me too!):
-
Human-like text:
- Visually Similar to Human Writing: BypassGPT creates content that looks and feels like it's written by a real person, not a machine.
- Creative: It also has a creative mode that can help make your content more compelling and engaging. But it makes the most errors in this mode, more on that below.
- Saves Time: It humanizes your content within seconds, saving you a lot of hours of rewriting and editing.
-
Customizable Modes:
- Fast Mode: In this mode, BypassGPT works fast but the quality of humanization is mid.
- Creative Mode: Here it lets loose, it can give you amazingly human text but at the cost of broken sentences and grammatical errors.
- Enhanced Mode: Use this mode to bypass AI detectors more often than not. In my experiment, this mode bypassed AIDetectPlus (and other detectors) 85% of the time.
-
Easy to Use:
- Just 2 Buttons: The UI is straightforward, with 2 buttons (one for detection and the other for humanization) and a dropdown to choose the mode.
- Quick free trial: It also gives you a quick trial of ~500 words once you sign up. So you can quickly get a sense if it works for you.
Here's a user talking about how BypassGPT helped them:
“The tool itself is pretty good. I like the interface and it does tend to spit out better content than other tools I've tried out. Would recommend.”
BypassGPT Review - What Does it Get Seriously Wrong?
Alright, now it's time to talk about the worst 5 things where BypassGPT:
-
Sometimes still fails AI Detectors:
- I took 12 pieces of AI-generated content - 4 essays, 4 blogs, and 4 long Linkedin posts. I humanized them using BypassGPT with 4 in each mode (Fast, Creative, Enhanced).
- Results: For Fast Mode: 2/4 failed AIDetectPlus, Creative Mode: 1/4 failed AIDetectPlus, Enhanced Mode: 1/4 failed AIDetectPlus. That's a failure rate of ~33%, not a great deal when you're paying them $15-30 each month.
-
Terrible Customer Service:
- Slow Responses: Many users report waiting days for a response, which is super annoying especially if you're working on a deadline. It feels like they don’t care about their customers.
- Unhelpful Staff: Often when you do get a response, it's a template reply and unhelpful.
-
Errors in Humanized Content:
- Changes the Meaning of Content: It often changes the meaning of your text, which can be frustrating. Imagine making a point, and then the tool twists it into something confusing.
- Weird Punctuation & Grammatical Errors: Many users are annoyed by the broken sentences they get from the tool. It also uses question marks and full stops in the wrong place, especially in Creative Mode.
- Needs Editing: You often need to edit its output, which defeats the whole purpose of using this tool.
-
Credits Vanish Every Month:
- Unused Credits Go Away: If you don't use your credits on time, you lose them. Now you need to pay again for the same credits next month.
- Even if you pay upfront for the whole year, you don't get all your credits upfront. They allot limited credits each month that doesn't carry over to the next month.
- Limits on Words per Input: Also, they limit the number of words in a single input. For example, if you need to humanize a 2000-word essay, you need to run BypassGPT 4 times if you're on the Basic Plan. Then you would have to manually stitch back your essay.
-
Red flags in Refund, Cancellation, and Privacy Policies:
- Refund Issues: They limit refunds to within 30 minutes and 1000 words. Also since their support is often AWOL, many users wait weeks before getting a refund.
- Cancellation Difficulties: Since they lock you in with a monthly/yearly subscription, users often get charged even after canceling. Also, you need to mail them to cancel your plan.
- Trust Issues: Their privacy policy is vague about how they use your content. If your content contains anything you don't want to share with the whole world, steer clear of this tool.
Here's what Carlos (ex BypassGPT user) said in their review:
“It’s a scam. Got my money, and after a day my subscription was disabled. Support email is fake.”
Here's a review by Alex talking about their policy issues:
“Basically, this is a scam website. They don't have any functionality and you can't even change your account's password. If you read their return policy, they won't give you any refund after 1000 words are being used. Which is fraud and laughable. They advertise their unlimited plan as $30/month, but if you look carefully, that is the price for an annual subscription if you pay $360. Stay away from them. These are all red flags.”
Btw, if you want a tool that doesn't lock you into a subscription and where your credits NEVER EXPIRE, try AIDetectPlus. And you can try it for free (up to 1000 words!) here.
That's it for the detailed review. Do you want to look at some of other BypassGPT's alternatives? Before that, let's talk about how much it costs!
Is BypassGPT Free?
They give you a 'free' trial of ~500 words, but the tool isn't free. The pricing is simple enough, let's break it down quickly:
Basic Plan ($12/month)
- You get: 5,000 words/month, 500 words/input, only Fast Mode. If you pay Yearly, it costs $8/month (billed as $96/yearly) saving you 33%.
- It also claims plagiarism-free, and high readability, but I have my doubts about it. Also, they have a 3-day refund guarantee.
- It's pretty expensive at $12 for 5000 words and you’re paying every month for the same 5,000 words, even if you didn’t use them last month. Almost like paying rent for a room you never sleep in.
Pro Plan ($19/month)
- You get: 30,000 words/month, 1000 words/input, Fast, Creative, and Enhanced modes. The yearly version of this costs $12/month (billed as $144/yearly) saving you 37%.
- You're paying them almost $20 every month, and you still can't humanize a standard 1500-2000 word essay/blog in one go. And your unused credits still go away at the end of the month.
Unlimited Plan ($49/month)
If you need an unlimited supply of BypassGPT, this one's for you.
- You get: Unlimited words per month, unlimited words per input, and all the modes.
- Sounds like a sweet deal? It's not, here's why, let's say you buy this plan for 1 month and cancel at the end of the month, you pay them $49. If you the same to AIDetectPlus, you get 60k word credits that NEVER EXPIRE.
- With AIDetectPlus, you can humanize 30 full-length blogs or essays for the same price at anytime you want without paying again. You would need to pay BypassGPT $49/month for eternity, sounds like a bad deal now, doesn't it?
Here's what I'm getting at...
- There are better options out there. And these are available at a much more affordable price too.
- For example, AIDetectPlus offers a complete AI Detection and Humanization suite starting at just $5. That's not $5/month, that's $5 one time!
- And that's the best part, your credits NEVER EXPIRE! You can buy as little as 5000 words for a one-time payment of $5 and use them whenever you want. You only pay again if you want more credits.
- If you're interested in a head-on comparison between BypassGPT and AIDetectPlus, jump to the section below.
Are there any BypassGPT promo codes?
- Yes, there are, and I even used one myself. I had to buy a subscription because their trial only covers ~250 words. Here's a quick list of websites where you can find promo codes (I'm not an affiliate or sponsor, just sharing info I found):
- DealSpotr
- GrabOn
- Tenere Team
- Many more affiliate sites offer these discount codes. You can find them by just googling for 'bypassgpt promo codes'.
What are some BypassGPT alternatives? Here are the top 3...
You already know everything there's to know about BypassGPT. Before taking the final call, let's look at a few alternatives. Let's look at the top 3:
#1 - BypassGPT vs AIDetectPlus
- What's the same: Both tools offer complete AI Detection and Humanization solutions. They are both pretty easy to use.
- Where is AIDetectPlus Better?
- Unlike BypassGPT, AIDetectPlus offers different detectors and humanizers based on your needs. We have specific tools for students (essays/papers), marketers (blogs etc), and teachers.
- AIDetectPlus is 10x more affordable than BypassGPT. That's because you only pay once for your credits, they NEVER EXPIRE!
- Unlike BypassGPT, you only pay us again if you need more credits.
- Also, AIDetectPlus' humanized text contains no grammatical mistakes, we make sure there's no editing needed on our humanized content. And there's no limit on the number of words per input.
- AIDetectPlus is easier to use and customer support is way better (I promise!).
- Where is BypassGPT Better? It supports 3 different modes to give you 3 levels of humanization, making it slightly better at customization.
#2 - BypassGPT vs StealthGPT
- What's the same: Again, both tools offer AI Humanization and Detection.
- Where is StealthGPT Better?
- StealthGPT shines in bypassing AI Detectors. Many users that StealthGPT bypasses AI Detectors almost 90% of the time but it often converts your text to gibberish.
- It has slightly better customer service, StealthGPT's reps respond to tickets quickly.
- Where is BypassGPT Better? BypassGPT is way better than StealthGPT at making your content sound more human and is much easier to use.
#2 - BypassGPT vs Undetectable AI
- What's the same: Again, both tools offer AI Humanization and Detection.
- Where is Undetectable AI Better?
- Undetectable AI is great at customizing its humanized text based on your needs, so it changes the humanization technique based on the type of your content (essay, blog, cover letter, etc.)
- No limits on the number of words per input, also offers bulk solutions for businesses.
- If you're interested in Undetectable, I wrote an in-depth Undetectable AI review recently, check it out!
- Where is BypassGPT Better? It is more affordable, especially the Unlimited Plan where you get unlimited credits at $49/month.
Is BypassGPT Legit?
Short answer - Well, NOT QUITE!
Here's why:
- Reason #1: Terrible Customer Service: Slow responses, unhelpful staff, refund & cancellation issues. They have it all.
- Reason #2: Overcharging for Credits: Your unused credits don't carry over to the next month, even on the annual plan.
- Reason #3: Errors in Humanized Text: The humanized content often loses the original meaning plus there are weird grammatical errors. And sometimes it can even fail to bypass AI detectors.
This review by KK (ex-BypassGPT user) sums it up perfectly:
“Although AI content is reduced, the product is altering the meaning of output text hence not useful. The output text also comes up with broken sentences and punctuation without proper logic. The company is not ready to refund the money saying I used more than 1000 words, although I contacted them within 30 minutes of subscribing. As you can imagine once you test a few paragraphs using different options you will touch 1000 words. They are using it as a reason to decline the refund. Verdict: Dont buy"
What's the alternative then?
At the risk of sounding biased, AIDetectPlus solves all of BypassGPT's problems. How?
Well for starters, we offer an actual free trial of 1000 words. But more importantly:
- #1 Completely error-free humanization: We use a special algorithm that humanizes your text without grammatical errors or changing the original meaning, and it passes AI Detectors with 97% accuracy.
- #2 Credits NEVER EXPIRE: Once you buy the credits from us, they never go away. You only pay again if you need more credits.
- #3 Way better customer support: We're a small team that cares, you wouldn't be stuck talking to an AI chatbot. We reply to all our customers within 12 hours, usually even faster!
- #4 Specialized Detectors & Humanizers: We have specialized detectors & humanizers for students, educators, and marketers. Pick the one that fits you from our menu above.
That's a wrap! Hopefully, this review told you everything about BypassGPT and gave you some good alternatives. If you're curious about AIDetectPlus, head to our website or kickstart your 1000-word free trial. No credit card or phone number needed — just your email, and you're off!
